It allows the vehicle to be driven onto two runways and lifted by its tires exposing the underside of the vehicle. I have two of these chassis jacks and they work great for suspension work on my 4 post lift.

Suspension work on 4 post lift. You have to jack the wheels up to work on the suspension. Most commonly configured as a four post surface mounted lift this is the primary type of lift used by many muffler oil change and transmission shops as well as those shops that perform wheel alignment services. A four post lift is a pita to work on vehicles with. The cross pieces between the ramps are always in the way of the exhaust transmission rear end motor etc. Bendpak sponsored this video and sent me a brand new ranger quickjack bl 5000slx so i could turn my four post hd 9 lift into something with the functionality of a two post lift. An easier way to get the wheels off the ground when your car is on a 4 post lift if you have an impact gun.
Note i mentioned. Something i have done when jacking my cars up on my 4 post lift and securing them when up off ramps block front or rear wheels i purchased a 10 6x6 treated post put across lift cut left over from ramp width in 12 line up under the car frame rails on top of 6x6 now you have 11 of spacer per side add 4x4 or 2x6 for additional height as needed.
