Avoid using rainx original glass water repellent on any plastic surfaces including motorcycle windshields atvs and solar panels i fear if you did this it will damage the windshield by making it cloudy or discolored. We have now used this version on our airplane windows and our motorcycle helmets.

Rain x for plastic reviews. Here in arizona he doesnt end up riding in the rain very often but on the rare occasions he has been caught in a downpour the rain beads up rolls right off keep his view nice and clear. It helps to keep the exterior of my boat clean and repells the water when i am boating. The rain x not only leaves it nice and clean but is very good and leaving it waterproof. You can see how much worse it gets on the back but works amazingly on the side and front. I use rain x plastic water repellent on the exterior of my boat to keep it clean during the season after i go to the lake. We have always used rain x on our car windshields and have had great success but you could never use it on plexiglass or other plastics like motorcycle visors and airplane windshields because it would make it brittle and potentially hazy.

We can absolutely attest to the fact that when properly applied the rain repellent treatment does work and provides safer driving conditions when its raining both when its just drizzling and when its a downpour. Havent rain tested my new bottle yet so cant review. This however im not so sure about. Unless it says for plastics on the label rain x is only for glass. Attached images have rain x applied to the left side and not the right side. Its easy to use and specifically designed for plastics but it just doesnt seem to build up a hydrophobic coating as well as the glass product. It removes the dirt and debris that accumulates on my boat when i take it to the lake.
Cee baileys offers rain repellent max. Ive used rain x for many years and been very pleased with it. Other than that the side windows and windshield all work great with rain x on them.
