Oil pressure drop during hard right turns i have a 460 cj crate engine in my mkiii with a canton baffled oil pan 15 764 and windage tray. They usually happen right after an engine has been overhauled.

Oil pressure drops when turning. Another new and interesting problem my oil pressure drops when turning left. If done at low speeds low engine rpm eg turning on to my driveway itll drop all the way to zero accompanied by. Generally speaking if your vehicle is equipped with an oil pressure gauge it should never dip into the red zone at the bottom of the gauge. However within 20 minutes the oil pressure should be regulated. When oil pressure is low not enough oil is being distributed to the engine potentially causing engine failure. The most likely cause of a car losing oil pressure when it warms up is a problem with the pressure relief valve which regulates the oil pressure to ensure that there is enough pressure to circulate oil throughout the engine.
Most modern vehicles though have done away with the oil pressure gauge replacing it with a simple low oil pressure warning light which illuminates when oil pressure drops below 5 to 7 psi. A relief valve close to the oil pump opens when the pressure reaches a predetermined value usually between 45 and 75 psi allowing extra oil to drain back into the oil pan. There are rare mechanical problems that can cause an unsteady oil pressure reading. However when the lubrication system cant maintain proper oil flow or pressure drops when it should not engine components are going to be starved of much needed oil. If that sounds like you then suspect a faulty oil pressure by pass valve or spring inside the oil pump. When i take hard right turns at speed my oil pressure drops from 70 to 20.
To a certain extent it is normal for a car to have low oil pressure when first starting.
