If it keeps coming out over the long haul you could have a problem. I was going to go and give the zerk fittings a few shots of grease per side but i keep finding conflicting information on just how much grease to put in.

Grease coming out of ball joint boot. Over time with exposure to the elements a cv boot can become dry or brittle and crack or tear. If it is from the rubber boot it could be because the rubber boots around the joint itself are not seated right this happens. Some ball joints come lubricated for life and are therefore incapable of being greased the paradox though is that they dont usually live very long. Ball joints tend to make one large pop or crack on turning when failing however. Grease leaking out is abnormal for tie rods but the boots on them still look to be filled with some grease so it could have been excess. If it is torn or possibly even gone then you should at least. The boots should blow up a little. First look to see that the rubber boots holding the grease inside the ball joint are in good shape. Next attach the grease gun to the zerk. Id wipe them off and check every couple days. If the ball joint is capable of being greased use only the grease that is recommended for the job.
Or at least lst time i did it it was that way on my 2000 the lowers are a pain in the ass. First you should inspect the dust boot for leaks. Also the pressure changes the part goes through in normal driving might force a little out. The uppers are pressed in and can only be replaced by changing the whole arm. You should see bright.
