Dont really have anything to lose at this point. From my understanding the guy who did this made a total of 3 holes in the wall and the cables were then fished through.

Fish hdmi cable through wall. In my experience the wire fish tool is necessary we tried a wire clothes hanger and it wouldnt work. Tape the end of the fish tape tightly onto the cable with electrical tape. Carefully extend the fish tape from one opening to the other. Then tape the hdmi cable along with the existing cable to the string and pull them both back in through the two horizontal studs. Carefully push the top low voltage box into the wall cavity just enough that you can easily access the tube from the bottom hole. Feed the wire fishsnake wire through the top hole down through the wall and fish it out through the bottom hole.
Then retract the fish tape to pull the cable through. The wall was not open when the cables were run. I think im just gonna give it a shot and see if i can get a new cable to go through this way. Once the new cable is is run through the wall and both openings you would then push the ends of the new hdmi cable through the back of the box openings and pull enough out to reach the tv and the other device and reinstall the boxs. If there is blocking i would tape a fish tape onto the old wire and pull it up through the blocking so you will then have the fish tape in place to pull the new wire back through. This may be easier said than done and its good to have a helper.
For future reference electrical pvc or flexible pvc with wide smooth 90 degree turns should be used not plumbing fittings.
