Ive replaced the first switch just fine desk light works fine but i do not have any power to the fan or light and also my bathroom off my bedroom now does not have power at all. Here is the wire diagram within the outlet.

Changed light switch now no power in other rooms. I flipped the breaker switch on and off 4 5 times and nothing changes. When i hit the breakers to power on i never got power in the light of the light switch i changed. The red which is often white. The black wire that is hot is the power to the switch. Guest are coming in 1 day. I checked the connections in both the fixture and the switch and both are fine but still no light.
In my bedroom i have a dual switch. Normally one half is switched red and the other half black is always hot in your situation. If not both halves are hot all the time. Test the wires one at a time to the ground. One switch goes to the outlet to control a desk light and the other goes to the ceiling fan wlight. I dont have any gfis in the room and checked the others in the house that are ok.
Our electrician spent hours testing at breaker box and light switch hes puzzled on the problem it got late and hes out of town for 2 days. By not breaking the tab you are back feeding power to the switch on the red from the black on the outlet. The hot was routed through the switch box for the light and was also the circuit that powered a few rooms. He did say no power was coming to the switch according to his multimeter. The electrician used the red wire switched for the light at the outlet. Suddenly last night the lights go out no pops or fuses blowing or tripping or anything dramatic.
Not sure if that helps but long story short look into your switch box for the light and see if you have the switch leg pushed back into the box and have the feedline side of your receptacles being operated at the switch. Checked voltage in light and was 0v. The black wire that is dead is the power wire to the other rooms. Turn off the power at the consumer unit make sure it is off and turn off all the light switches on that circuit then connect the three red or brown wires together make sure the three black or blue wires are separated and turn on the power using a tester on the three black or blue wires you should find one of these is live make sure the light switch for that light is turned on take note which one is live and turn the power off again connect the other two blackblue wires together and. I recently changed the light in my bathroom. The source power in the power leading out to other areas and the switch wires leading to the light and fan.
All working well for several weeks. The following wiring in the switch box will need to be identified. I turned the breaker off and replaced two light switches and when i turned the breaker back on there is no power to the two i changed and another switch i didnt change all on the same circuit. I had managed to mix these up somehow and made the outlets operate off the switch. Once these items have been identified then it is possible to make the correct wiring connections.
