Bleeding wilwood master cylinder. Air in the brake fluid leads to a spongy feel to the pedal and reduced performance of the braking system. Close the bleeder valve and release pedal. The process of bleeding is used to get rid of any air that may be present in the components. Wait three to five seconds and repeat. Push and hold the pedal down. Wilwood offers bleed kits included with many tandem master cylinder models to assist with bench bleeding.
Open the bleeder valve on the caliper or wheel cylinder until fluid is released. Unbolt calipers and hold with bleed screws in the vertical position. Fill the master cylinder reservoir 34 full with clean fresh brake fluid. Since it all starts from the master cylinder that is the place you have to start whether youre doing a simple replacement or a complete brake upgrade.
